Cadcorp is pleased to annouce the release of Cadcorp SIS 7.0 and GeognoSIS 7.0.  This is a major release that provides considerable benefits to Cadcorp users.

Cadcorp customers with current maintenance are entitled to upgrade to SIS 7.0 free of charge.

Cadcorp has already announced the contents of the release with a dedicated section on the Cadcorp website to outline functional changes.

Exisiting Cadcorp Portal users will be able to follow the SIS 7 Upgrade Request button on the left.  This will direct you to the Cadcorp SIS 7.0 Upgrade Request page.

Please be aware that the Cadcorp Portal will be shutdown on Monday 30th March 2009 from 8am to 12midday BST.

This is to prepare the Portal for the release of SIS 7.0 at around midday on Monday.  When the Cadcorp Portal is running again, the release will be announced and users will be invited to apply for upgrades.

The new SIS Plugin Address and Universal Gazetteers now link to MS Access 2007 Databases (.accdb), as well as .mdb.  They can be downloaded from here

Cadcorp is running a series of free seminars in February and March.  These are aimed at new and exisiting users and will feature a full pre-view of the capabilities of Cadcorp SIS 7.0 and details on the release schedule.

Important information for users of GeognoSIS

There have been some reported incidents of the GeognoSIS service stopping unexpectedly and frequently on some sites.  Cadcorp investigated this further and found that excessive numbers of users trying to access a NOL (Named Object Library) could cause the GeognoSIS service to stop.  If you are experiencing such behaviour with GeognoSIS, please contact support@cadcorp.com for the Cadcorp.Geognosis.exe hotfix 6.2.823.
