Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS Installers for SR1 have been updated - 30 January 2012

The installers for Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS were updated on 30th January 2012. This is to address a couple of errors found with the installation:

The silent un-install option did not always work.
The shortcuts to the Gazetteer and Metadata Manager, which can be optionally installed with Cadcorp SIS, were not always created.

If you need to install Cadcorp SIS or GeognoSIS after this date, it is worth going to the download page here to get the latest version of the installer.

Release Date for Cadcorp SIS 7.1 SR2 - 26 January 2012

The second service release of Cadcorp SIS 7.1 is planned for week commencing 30th April 2012. This release will include Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS, Web Map Layers, Web Map Express, Web Map Viewer and Web Map Editor.

Any changes to this planned release date will be posted here.

Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Print Workshop added to 7.1 Add-In Downloads - 19 January 2012

The Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Print Workshop is an extension to the printing capabilities of Cadcorp SIS, providing additional tools for professional map production. This updated version of the Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Print Workshop has been added to the Add-In Download page. This can be downloaded from the updated list of Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Add-Ins here.

Hosted Online Help - 09 January 2012

We are pleased to announce the launch of web help for Cadcorp SIS and it's associated applications. This is an important step in providing the end users of our products with the most up to date and relevant help for all of our products.

From today, users will be able to browse, search and print the help provided with the software through their browser. The web help can be accessed through this link page on the main website here. It’s located under the Support dropdown.

Release of Web Map Viewer and Editor - 06 December 2011

Cadcorp is pleased to announce the latest release of Cadcorp SIS Web Map Viewer and Editor. This is Cadcorp’s browser-based, off-the-shelf application which provides advanced GIS capability, including queries, printing, editing and analysis.

If you currently use Web Map Viewer, Web Map Editor or a custom browser-based solution developed on GTools, you should speak to your account manager or request an upgrade through upgrades@cadcorp.com.

Cadcorp SIS 7.1 VectorMap Local Loader added to 7.1 Add-In Downloads - 28 November 2011

The Cadcorp SIS 7.1 VectorMap Local Loader has been added to the Add-In Download page. This allows users to load OS VectorMap Local into a spatial database. This can be downloaded from the updated list of Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Add-Ins here.

Release of Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS 7.1 SR1 - 23 November 2011

Cadcorp is pleased to announce the release of Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS 7.1 SR1. As the first service release of Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS 7.1, this release contains a number of bug fixes that have been subsequently found through the release and implementation process. New features in this release include:

Added support for DTED 2 and DTED 3 datasets
The Microsoft Bing Maps Window has been upgraded to use the latest "Bing Maps Keys" authentication method as a replacement of the soon-to-be-discontinued "Bing Maps Token Service"
Added support for the OS Meridian 2 Plug-in Dataset. This data is supplied by OSGB through their Open Data initiative. It is supplied as an ESRI Shapefile, which the plug-in can now read and automatically builds a routable topology network.
The Cadcorp OS MasterMap Manager (Topographic) has a redesigned workflow that allows file loads to be run in parellel. This ensures that all COU changes are strictly run in order and also provides a faster overall load time.

If you have already upgraded to Cadcorp SIS 7.1 you can apply for this release by sending an email with your name, your Portal username and organisation to SISUpgrades@cadcorp.com.
If you are still running Cadcorp SIS 7.0, you will need to apply for an upgrade to Cadcorp SIS 7.1 through the Portal to receive new licences. Use the Upgrade Request button on the front page of the Portal and follow the instructions on this page to apply for the upgrade of licences and software.

More Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Add-Ins Available for Download - 04 November 2011

Cadcorp are pleased to announce that ahead of the release of Cadcorp SIS 7.1 SR1, we have released some more updated Add-Ins. Cadcorp has always provided Add-Ins, previously known as GISLink or Mini-Apps, but needed to re-engineer the way they interact with the new Fluent UI, introduced at Cadcorp SIS 7.1.

Not all of the Add-Ins from Cadcorp SIS 7.0 are available at Cadcorp SIS 7.1 yet, but we're working through them. We've recently added the following:

Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Book Plotter Add-In
Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Copy Attributes
Cadcorp SIS 7.1 Housing Toolkit Add-In

These are accessible here (Downloads - SIS 7.1 - Add-In Programs) if you have already upgraded to Cadcorp SIS 7.1. The Cadcorp SIS 7.1 VectorMap Local Loader should also be available soon.

Cadcorp announces the release of Cadcorp 7.0 SR3 - 09 August 2011

Cadcorp is pleased to announce the release of Cadcorp SIS 7.0 SR3. This is a service release for existing users of Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS 7.0 and includes bug fixes. It does not include new functionality introduced at Cadcorp SIS 7.1 and should be used where maintained customers do not wish to upgrade to Cadcorp SIS 7.1 yet.

Hotfix for Users of Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS 7.1 with Oracle - 19 July 2011

Cadcorp has issued a hotfix for Cadcorp SIS and GeognoSIS 7.1. It increases the limit of concurrent Oracle user accounts that can be connected and allows the user to configure this limit. The hotfix is available for download from here

Service Release Announcements and some 7.1 hotfixes - 01 June 2011

Dates have been announced for the first and second service releases of Cadcorp SIS 7.1 here.
A date has also been announced for the release of service release 3 of Cadcorp SIS 7.0 here. This will be known as Cadcorp SIS 7.0 SR3.

New Version of the OS MasterMap Manager with Oracle - 18 November 2010

Cadcorp has posted a new version of the Cadcorp SIS OS MasterMap Manager. This is to resolve an issue that some users were having with applying COU's to an Oracle database.

If you intend to apply COU's to an Oracle database, please make sure that you download the current version of the Cadcorp SIS OS MasterMap Manager.

New Release of mSIS, the Cadcorp SIS Mobile Information System - 24 September 2010

Cadcorp is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of mSIS, the Cadcorp SIS Mobile Information System.

This release of mSIS 6.3.1303.716 includes some minor bug fixes, but also incorporates enhancements to the use of the XML Schema. This is in response to an increasingly active user base demanding greater flexibility and functionality during the design and use of XML Schema. The XML Schema provides unique and powerful guided attribute entry, allowing a number of different features to be accurately recorded and captured with minimal error.

Existing users of mSIS can download and use this version with their exisiting licences.

All Cadcorp Portal Users can download this version of mSIS for a free evaluation, running for 30 days from installation.
